Update part 1: Look at my tomatoes!

It has been years since I had a decent tomato crop. And even more years since I had big giant tomatoes. My favorite is to slice the tomatoes and eat with salt and mayo on freshly baked bread.

I thought I had my bread recipe posted somewhere but I do not. I use Kenji’s Low Knead technique that I’ve adapted for sourdough but I shape for a loaf pan.

It sounds like I’m fancy and smart and know what I’m doing but really, I’m just a girl with a bread pan who love freshly baked bread. If you’re interested send me a note and I will write up my process for the blog.

Update part 2: Back to business!

Friends! I have finished something that is writing.

When Reacher Met Tracker — my Reacher / Tracker crossover fan fic.

I mostly avoided writing about it on my website(s) but I was dealing with a challenging aging parent situation for an extended period. (Here’s a little bit about my dad.) During that time I had a lot of trouble getting any focus or momentum on my writing project.

I started the fic for a fun, low stakes project and even that took me a year to finish. I am still very slow about coming back online. I’ve been “just one more weekend” away from posting this for almost a month.

However, these fics are helping me get the engine restarted.

I have one more fic I’m working on and when fall hits I plan to return to my romance in progress.

I’m about 1/3 of the way through — it’s a contemporary with a very light speculative element set in NW California. More details when I get closer to finished.
